Online poker v/s physical poker

Online poker v/s physical poker

The Internet has made life easier in the 21st century. It has changed the face of various systems in various fields. Gambling is not an exception to these changes. There are so many online casinos that don't require us to leave home at all. This brings a lot of changes and challenges to which we have to adapt to. There are great many differences between the normal way of playing poker and the one people play sitting before the computer

The most obvious disadvantage in online poker compared to the one played face to face comes from the fact than one cannot note the changes in body language and the reactions of other opponents. This is generally used in the face to face version to guess the type of cards the person has.

So instead of guessing the type of cards an opponent has by the facial expressions, one should pay attention to the reaction time, the patters with which they bet and the speed of playing. Every change the internet has brought about has been adapted to, and poker is no different! So it is better to make intelligent guesses by the above parameters than blaming the online versions. There is a great difference in the rate with which the game is played and speed.

There is an advantage in the online versions as of the number of tables you can play at. In an offline face to face poker game, it is impossible to be sitting at two places at once and hence the multiple table option is scored off. So, in an online version the chances of winning are much higher as one can sit at a lot of tables. Needless to say, the income also gets increased in an online version.

The best thing that can happen to a novice who wants to learn the rules and basics of the game is the online version. This is because of the presence of the poker schools which buck up the beginner in to moving on to higher levels of comfort. In these online versions one has an option of clicking a button and adding more money to the budget. There are even practice rooms where one plays for fake money. This is a great advantage over conventional poker as the beginner does not have to lose money at the beginning, before he gets accustomed. This can hearten the novices as they can greatly improve before having to play with real money.

There is also a major difference as far the limits are concerned. In an online poker table it is not uncommon to see a limit so low as one cent while at the conventional table the limits are generally higher as much as one dollar.

There are a lot of aspects regarding the comparison. The first thing may be is whether we have enough resources to travel to a Casino and blow it over at a conventional casino. One more is whether we have enough experience to take on a much more regular professional. A lot of people who go to casinos are pretty professional and have been at the tables for a long time. So unless we are very good at it, it is better to take the easier way, spend time on the basics online, have a go at it using fake money, before moving on to the real world.

We can actually risk much lesser money and get the feeling of Las Vegas sitting right at our homes and yet win money without having to step out. This suits a lot of people who hate traveling and those who are very busy.
